Rimad (“we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of all users of our announcement-making platform in Mauritania. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and your rights under Mauritanian law.


We collect and process personal data to operate Rimad, which enables users to post and browse announcements (for example, sale or rental of houses, land, or cars; offers of electronics; job postings). We adhere to the principles set out in Law No. 2017-020 on the protection of personal data (adopted June 22, 2017) and follow best-practice data-protection standards. The Mauritanian data-protection authority is the Autorité de Protection des Données à Caractère Personnel (APDP).

Rimad stores and processes data in a cloud environment that ensures appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) are in place for any cross-border transfers.

Rimad is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover that we have inadvertently done so, we will delete that data promptly.
